This program focuses on conducting epidemiological research to understand the causes and outcomes of severe infections, as well as the application of novel technologies to address them in low-resource settings, with limited involvement in emerging infectious disease outbreaks.
This program focuses on conducting epidemiological research to understand the causes and outcomes of severe infections, as well as the application of novel technologies to address them in low-resource settings, with limited involvement in emerging infectious disease outbreaks. ACESO's capabilities include:
Community engagement team and strategic partnerships to support ongoing studies, as well as to provide limited support in responding to potential epidemic outbreaks
Robust infrastructural and technical capacity to diagnose and respond to high-consequence pathogens, including:
- Well-trained clinical and laboratory research teams
- A well-equipped research laboratory
- A pharmacy
- A data center
- An isolation section with high-dependence unit capability to manage very sick patients
